The practice has won Denplan’s prestigious

“Denplan Practice Team of the Year”.

This award is the successor to the award which Martin won with colleagues in the mid 1990s at his former practice. Times move on and the competition now is even more demanding in its requirement of the whole team, rather than being a snapshot of a business.

The awards ceremony was held at Ettington Park, a lovely hotel venue in the Midlands in October 2002 – And the fantastic news is that we won. We had a splendid evening and hardly drank anything at all...........NOT!

Britesmile

Oralcare has been appointed an associate practice for the Britesmile system for tooth whitening. This honour is only bestowed upon practices that can demonstrate the very highest standards of customer care and facilities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Investors In People

We recently went through assessment as an Investor in People. This is a national standard awarded to those businesses who work with and offer training to their staff to bring out the very best in the business. And again the fantastic news is that we passed with flying colours. So its another excuse for the party frocks to come out of the wardrobe.

There is also a new standard for businesses to aspire to called ‘Work-life Balance’. With a number of Smile Oralcare staff working part-time juggling home-lives, families and extended opening hours at the practice we think we may be ideal candidates.

Lianne Hodges has just joined the practice as our principal hygienist. Lianne has recently qualified and is delighted to be part of a team which closely reflects the way she has been taught.
