Oralcare has been designed from the outset to exceed all current guidelines. Martin's involvement in setting national standards brings a unique focus on monitoring and audit.

we will routinely monitor areas of patient concern, both in service (time keeping, emergency access, telephone and e-mail response times) and in clinical areas (treatment area disinfection, treatment effectiveness and pain control).

 
     
explanations - we will always use plain English and check that you understand.  
     
pain control - we will use the latest pain control techniques, including "The Wand", a computer controlled micro-pump, to ensure successful and painless local anaesthesia.  
     
charges - we will always explain our charges clearly and offer you choices where possible.  
     
phobias - for people who are disproportionately frightened we offer hypnosis - including a revolutionary 'fast phobia' treatment now used by psychologists to treat post-traumatic stress disorder - or we can arrange a liquid oral sedative.  
     
time keeping - if we keep you waiting for more than ten minutes beyond your appointment time without offering you an explanation and opportunity to re-schedule we will give you either vouchers or a credit against your next appointment.  
     
responding to feedback - we will listen to your feedback - please use the "what could we do better" postcards - and we will try to improve the practice accordingly.  
     
emergencies - we will deal with any emergency promptly and will open the practice out-of-hours if you need treatment. The emergency number is 01733 230925  
     
recommendations - if you recommed a friend or family member to us we promise to look after them as you would wish us to.
